The Islamic Center of Williamson County (ICWC) strongly condemns the violence that was perpetrated on Dec 2, 2015 in San Bernardino, California, in which the actions of few individuals resulted in the loss of precious lives. We convey our deepest sympathy, regrets, and condolences to their families and loved ones. We stand by members of all faiths and strongly condemn any act of violence. We stand by the families of the fallen and injured individuals. We stand in solidarity and join in mourning the loss of innocent lives.
Muslim community of Williamson County reaffirm our commitment to work with and support law enforcement at all levels, and we call on all communities to do the same. Like all people of faith, we completely reject any hateful ideology that would motivate violence between neighbors or wreck such havoc on the lives of the innocent.
During this time of suffering and unprecedented violence Muslims of Williamson County ask Our Creator to keep all of us safe. Now, more than ever, it is a time for patience, the rule of law and the rejection of all voices seeking to divide us along religious, political or ethnic lines. May God bless America, and may we work together – as one nation – to properly address the surge of violence that harms us all.
